Handicraft project

Another project, which over many years, has been achieving significant results is the one involving about 30 women of the area. Also here, through the observation of their living conditions we discovered a rather problematic situation: it is almost always up to the woman to guarantee at least the minimum of resources necessary for the maintenance of the family. But, the education of the children and the care of the ger often oblige her to remain at home, a reason that makes her search for work rather difficult. Our sisters have then suggested works of cutting, sewing and embroidery which allow the women of the area to remain at home and, at the same time, to produce a type of work well known by all, and adequately rewarded. Thanks to this project more than thirty families may rely on regular earnings. To maintain the project we must constantly buy fabrics and the accessories necessary for works in fabric/cloth and natural felt.
